Last week I wrote an article on Worth Learning Courses in 2022 curating a list of courses/skills which I feel are a must to learn in this year to stay ahead of the curve and be in that rare air. As promised, today’s post will unveil 4 skills to excel in the next 4 years to meet the demands of this changing world.
1. Web 3.0
What’s Web 3.0: To give a quick walkthrough on Web 3.0, let’s understand what Web 1.0 and Web 2.0 technologies are –
Web 1.0 – The first stage of WWW and is in read-only format. This technology lets the creators showcase their content to the audience (without allowing users to interact with the creators). It is also referred to as the company focused version of the web.
Example – Britannica Online
Web 2.0 – The current version of WWW, which is widely read and write format. As we know, creators can share their content with the audience, allowing them to interact, recreate, share and whatnot. This version is also quoted as a community focus, as it is helping to bring communities together.
Example – Wikipedia
Web 3.0 – The most advanced and also the next iteration of WWW (Web 2.0). This version is referred to as individually focused. The technology will have the data be shared among the set of users instead of someone “owning” it, making pieces of information reachable to everyone on the internet in the most secure way.
Example – Brave Web Browser
Who can learn: Anyone with a computer science background (or basic knowledge of coding/understanding of web applications).
Hot areas to learn within Web 3.0: Blockchain, DeFi (Decentralized Finance), DApps (Decentralized Applications)
Fact – There’s a shortage of Blockchain Developers as it would be the best time to learn and explore the Web 3.0 arena. Blockchain developers can expect an average salary of INR 800,000+ per annum and, with 3+ years of work experience, one can fetch over INR 45,00,000+ per annum. (Source)

2. Communication Skills
It is one of the most underrated yet important skills one can learn and polish in the coming months and years. With changing working conditions and hybrid situations, communicating with your peers and team members in the most effective and optimized way has become the need of this time.
I would recommend schools, colleges and companies enrol their students and employees in such training sessions. It will not only help in nurturing future leaders but also help to optimize the way how a piece of information travels and absorbs within these working communities.
Who can learn: We are already communicating things daily! Encourage everyone to polish this skill further and become a better communicator every day.
Recommended Courses: These courses will help you with the basics, but I would highly recommend implementing your learning straight to your personal and professional lives to see the change on the ground. 3. Emotional Intelligence
With the increase in AI and Machine Learning, understanding human psychology becomes super important. If you are an HR Professional, Advanced Machine Learning developer, building User Experience, Marketer or running a start-up, learning deep on this topic will help you reach your target audience (or internal teams) with a great sense of meaning.
Who can learn: As mentioned in the above paragraph, anyone can and should learn the psychological concept of emotional intelligence.
Equipping yourself with a sense of EI (Emotional Intelligence) will help you give an edge by building genuine relationships with your teams/customers. Technology advances pushing us away from real human connections (take examples of AI assistants taking over human assistants) towards machine-based interactions.
Recommended Courses: Emotional Intelligence (EQ) Practitioner Cert, Collaboration and Emotional Intelligence
4. Personal Mastery
In these demanding working conditions, one should present themselves in the fittest (physical and mental) form to the world. Work pressure, personal commitments, side hustle, unpredictable environments and whatnot, these “sins” put unnecessary lines on our forehead and probably take away the most active phase of our lives.
To become world-class in your field, you should have a daily routine of self-development (Mental, Physical, Spiritual, Emotional) as if your life depends on this.
Who can learn: Everyone! As we grow and start taking responsibilities, we (unintentionally) shift our focus from being “productive” to being “busy”. Recommend everyone working to up their games every single day.
